Terms of service
Last updated 8 Oct 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Storefronts ("we", "us"). They apply when you create a shop, use the dashboard, or buy from a shop hosted on Storefronts. By signing up or using the service, you agree to them.
The service
Storefronts lets sellers ("merchants") publish an online catalogue and receive orders on WhatsApp. Shoppers place orders with the merchant, not with us. We are not a party to any sale: the merchant is responsible for their products, prices, payments, delivery, returns and customer service.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract to open a shop
- Keep your password safe; you're responsible for what happens in your account
- Give accurate details, and keep your WhatsApp number and payment details current
- One person or business may run several shops, each with its own account
Merchants' responsibilities
- You own the content you upload (photos, descriptions, pages) or have the right to use it, and you give us permission to host and display it to run your shop
- You comply with the laws that apply to your business, including consumer protection, tax (such as GST where applicable) and product safety rules
- You publish clear shipping, returns and privacy information for your shoppers — the Pages section of your dashboard gives you templates to start from
- You handle shoppers' personal data only to fulfil their orders, as described in our Privacy policy
- You don't sell anything listed in our Acceptable use policy
Plans and payment
The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans are billed in advance for the period you choose and unlock the limits shown on our pricing page. Prices may change; we'll tell you at least 30 days before a change affects your next renewal. See our Refund and cancellation policy for refunds.
Payments between shoppers and merchants
Shoppers pay merchants directly (for example by UPI or bank transfer). We never receive, hold or process that money and can't reverse, refund or guarantee it. Any dispute about an order is between the shopper and the merchant, though we'll help where we reasonably can.
Availability
We work to keep Storefronts running and your data backed up, but the service is provided "as is" and may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons beyond our control.
Suspension and closing your shop
You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or close a shop that breaks these terms or the Acceptable use policy, puts shoppers at risk, or is required to be removed by law; where we can, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to fix it first. You can export your orders, products and customers from the dashboard before you leave.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. We'll post the new version here with its date and, for material changes, notify merchants in the dashboard or by email before they take effect.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
